I have misplaced my phone after Friday morning lecture for maths (27th April). If anyone has seen a white Samsung galaxy mini around the front 2 rows of the lecture theater, it would be MUCH appreciated if you could give me a call at (mobile number)
Thank you so much! please remember that I do have a lot of personal things on there that i cannot access anywhere else !
Last night I ended up at the casino with Patrick and Lauren. I was so tired I didn’t want to go, especially after my shift at work, but I felt sorry for Lauren. She likes going out and I like Lauren, and no one else would go with her. We ended up just drinking, then moving to the Little Pub, then drinking more, then sitting and talking. It was pleasant. I’m especially glad because Lauren ended up making out with a VERY cute boy, which doesn’t happen for her much. *sigh* I am now broke. I am just going to stay home today.
If you ask any import enthusiast what they hate most about owning a modified import, chances are they’ll say - the unwanted attention from the boys in blue. That is putting it as cleanly as I can.
A lot of import enthusiasts have had some sort of run in with the police whether severe or not, they will all have stories for you. They will tell you how bad the police are and how they have mistreated them etcetera etcetera.
The issue I see here is that the police aren’t all bad. Basically I’ve had a nice long conversation with an off duty police officer one day and they are, after all, just humans beings like us.
You see some guys get pulled over for speeding, and instead of hardening up and admitting it, they will argue and give the police an earful of jargon. If you treat police officers like trash they will probably go out of their way to screw you over. That’s just a given.
This off duty officer said, the best thing to do, and this is obvious, is to just be honest, admit fault and treat the police with respect. Doing this, you may get away with just a fine or maybe none, instead of a fine and a defect notice….
I was pulled over recently by the police, it was the Easter long weekend and I hadn’t been drinking, speeding or doing anything illegal, so I was a little concerned as to what may have been the reason for them doing so.
The officer walked up to my door and basically said, “What do you have hanging out the back of your car? There’s sparks flying everywhere!”
A little confused, I replied, “Sorry I’m not sure what you mean officer”.
After just a quick discussion, it turns out my exhaust was scraping and sparking on every bump on the road. This I told (truthfully) the officer was due to the fact that I had just filled a full tank of fuel and the car was lower than usual, but I also told him that I was planning on fixing this in the near future (also true).
After saying that I should get it done ASAP, he let me go. So treat police officers with respect and chances are they do the same to you.
I hate it when I tell people that my favourite director is Tim Burton and they roll their eyes and think I’m stupid. I’m not some stupid little scene kid, I’m an intellectual human being who is comforted by the strangeness of his mind and it’s similarity to my own.
